Happy 17th birthday mate,

All the best with your driving!! and welcome to the annoying world of learners. Hopefully this year will bring a full recovery and alot better luck than I have had test wise.

Will look forward to hearing about your L plated exploits in the near future.

-Hes out now driving on the roads for the first time legally, in true Pistonheads spirit no doubt!!! Optimax in the veins obviously...

niiiiaaaaaoooooowww .........I'm back!!

Ben, coming on here and seeing that thread title has made my day, cheers mate

So I'm back from my drive. My choice of chariot was my Mum's trusty 1.0 Corsa, we set off at 12:01am which was when the insurance started. It was a bit chilly so I did have my PH fleece on I did about 15 miles and the only people that were out were plod (Army police at that) so it was nice and quiet to get my first road experience.

Well, I've been driving since I was 8 so I was constantly checking that I was doing 30, god that feels slow when the road is straight, but we did go through some 40's, 50's and NSL's It's so different driving on tarmac than driving on mud which I'm used to but I was a good boy and didn't speed once

I just need to check my mirrors more and I expect I'd have got failed for approach speeds and pull away speeds but only the examiner can judge that, Mum thought it was fine and so did I but she did say they would probably say it was too fast.

Mum didn't stamp on the imaginary brake once so I felt good about that (will be a different story with traffic), but yes there's another 17 year old PHer on the roads MUHAHAHAHA , I've been waiting 8 years for this so I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat, HAPPY BURFDAY TO MEEEEEE

Cheers everyone, 17 at last

Some people have told me to take my test in the westi and wearing my full racing outfit I think they'd fail me on principal.

Profile changed, thanks.

Can't wait to get out again

Happy Birthday mate!

You have to take the test in your Westfield! It's your duty to all Pistonheads! And imagine the examiners face when you turn up in that!
