Heard on the Radio this morning that Gale's Beer Company have been slapped on the wrist by advertising watchdogs after claiming in their adverts that "Beer is an all round food containing a balanced package of nutrients and minerals and can be considered to make a positive contribution to a healthy diet." It was pointed out to them that alcohol prevents minerals and vitamins entering the body and the advertising watchdogs have put a stop to it.
They were also using the slogan "Vitamin Beer... I'll drink to that"

You do know that beer is good for you though..
Lager if cold enough contains fewer calories than it takes to raise a pint of cold liquid up to body temperature. Obviously then, each pint you are in calorific defict, so you get slightly slimmer. Its the associated twiglets that do the damage to your figure..
The other point of course is about survival of the fittest in the brain cells are a bit like Wildebeest sort of way. The lion will always kill the oldest, slowest, lamest Wildebeest, therefore on average the herd is slightly faster and fitter than before once its been dispatched. So, the occiasional beer that kills the duff brain cells that lowers your average intelligence actually helps to raise your intelligence level slightly(ish).
Both useful facts of the same quality as those I am putting into this report I am supposed to be writing..
Might take the TVR out for a blatt; sun's come out.. Dedication to job levels at an all time low today..
