and, to my amazement, I have just taken a call from a very polite customer relations bod, apologising for the earlier 'misunderstanding' and offering to send an engineer out to my house check that the door is safe and arrange any necessary repairs at their expense!

Do you think anyone from TVR reads this ? If so the number of calls to the Samaritans in the Blackpool area must have increased 1000 fold in the last few years

Yes. They didn't seem very interested though. I did hear from C5 for that 5th Gear when the guy was trying to but a supercar - but I was out of the country when they were filming Insurance concerns make such things tricky though (unsurprisingly) but I hereby promise to get to at least one PH event this year.

We would estimate a turn-round of 8 weeks and a cost of around £10k, assuming the damage is only to the paint and outer layers

I'll do it for free with a bit of filler, but I will still need the car for 8 weeks.
