Hi all

Two quick question sthat I am pondering...

I've currently got a Clio Cup whic is a good little car that does most of what I want quite well and is OK on the track! But there are a number of things that bug me. The build quality is not that good! Seems to be a Renault problem thoughout. It is not a sports type car, it is pretty rapid but somehow just does not really gell with me. So question should I sell it bearing in mind it is only three months old? Would I loose to much? Also, it is my everyday car and anything else would also need to be.

Next question what to replace it with it if I sell. could spend between 10-15K, probably look to spend about 13. I would really want RWD and fun!!!!

So far I have thought Elise, new MR2, Maybe an integrale... Wife not keen!! I love them! Any other suggestions?

Whatever I bought, if I sell the Cup, would need to be used everyday... Help!!

Get a Chimaera - practical (compared to an Elise) and well within your budget.

Better still, if you can deal with a slightly smaller boot, get a Griff!

If you're pissed off with Renault build quality then a TVR will drive you potty.

Mind you, a Lotus would have you sectioned.

Get a BMW 328 Coupe. Nothing would drop off, except you.

Buy a Turbo Esprit and a Nissan Micra.

I have.

My very own personal courtesy car for when the Lotus is off the road.

Good Luck, Pat '87 TurboHC

(unhelpful mode on)

Yes, it's a Clio, sell it. NOW! No, don't stop to turn the computer off, go.

I don't know!!!

How about M100 Elans? I have always quite liked the shape, not RWD but apparently good? Any advice??

So far I am thinking if I jump:

Elise
Elan
V6 Alfa GTV
Integrale
M3 - of some sort
MR2 - newest shape

For around that price, my shortlist is down to a BMW 328Ci or a Porsche 968.

Though I'm not sure I can take the social pariah I would become if I bought a Beemer -- and that's just in my house, never mind the rest of the road-using community...
