Hi everyone,

Well, the heading says it all really....

Yep, Tam Lin and I have finally produced our firstborn - a little boy called Michael - on 5 February. Seriously cute and wonderful - for those of you who haven't yet tried parenthood, we can wholeheartedly recommend it! Well, most of it anyway.

The Griff will be up for sale soon, or more likely it'll be P/Xed for a car with more seats - ideally a Cerbie, but we're open to ideas.

To all those of you who mailed me - thanks chaps! I'll be in touch as soon as I get a minute - might manage it before the little one goes to school.

TTFN!

Well done both of you!!

And good news on the car front, look forward to seeing you all at a VW meet with junior in his leather trimmed baby seat- the ultimate pose!!

Don't forget to get a "baby on board" sticker if you do get a Cerb, bennno did this and I thought it was hilarious following a 185mph car down the motorway with a "baby on board" sticker in the rear window!!

Great news!!!

Are you open to offers regarding naming him???

I think Griff (think about it) might be a good start for a name...

Congratulations, don't forget to post some pix of the new arrival (baby). On the car side, why not keep the Griff for fun and non-baby runs and get a sensible motor for family runs?

Congrats SGirl Fantastic News. The Mrs and I wholeheartedly agree with the "being parents is fantastic" thing. It is a bit trying, however, at times. If I can offer any advise on anything I would be happy to. (Or pass it along to the missus for a proper answer).

First piece of advice: Try your best to keep the Griff if possible. I went through the same thing when we had our first. Thought that the adult thing to do was to get rid of all "fun cars" and get a familymobile. A year later I was on the Esprit hunt.

Congrats again!

So the second generation is starting to emerge....

PH will go on for ever

Congratulations Sgirl, looks like I wasn't the only one to have aboslutely no idea. If it was me I wouldn't have been able to keep quiet about something like that!

I hope 'ickle Michael's a sleeper for your sanity's sake.

All the luck in the world,
Mouse.

It's easy to say "keep the Griff" but realistically, how much use would the three of you get out of it and how safe would you feel junior is in the front of it. Personally, If you can afford to trade up to a Cerb then I would feel much more comfortable with my child in the back of a Cerb, with it's full rollcage and the passenger seat infront of the baby seat.

Nice to see you back, and nice that Carzee hasn't spouted any anti-baby stuff yet...
