So. We know she drives at 100mph. We also know now that she is genuinely evil. Get a load of this! This is about removing the "provocation" defence for murder. Note how she isn't talking about removing it for everybody, though....

Speaking in Monday's Telegraph, Ms Harman said: "Men kill their wives, generally speaking, out of anger and women kill their husbands out of fear.
"It blames the victim. Men say 'The woman wound me up, she was planning to leave me and I was upset and therefore I am not guilty of murder'.
"Even if a woman has done all of those things it does not justify violence, let alone violence to the point of death."
Ms Harman believes killers are getting off too lightly because men who kill their wives or girlfriends are usually charged with manslaughter and not murder.
In order to use the provocation defence a person charged with murder must plead guilty to the lesser offence.
Ms Harman is also keen to create a new law to allow women who kill their husbands after years of abuse to be treated more sympathetically.

A murder should be judged individually, to say all those murders deserve this or that is stupid and another case of politicians who don't know fcuk all interfering in the law.

Typical, she has made the stoopid mistake of generalising. I would not want any defence of mine for any charges that may occur in the future, not that I'm planing on carrying out any offences that may make me liable to prosecution, nor does this post hereby admit to any such actions that show or could show ....... I must be paranoid? Anyhow, my point, surely every murder is unique, to generalise is to lessen and is very presummptious.

What is she talking about??? Courts are capable of making this kind of assesment without being constrained by the bimbo solicitor general.

I think it's unhelpful to ridicule the woman as stupid. What makes her so dangerous is that she's clearly very clever indeed.
How can I say that? Well, she's the solicitor general - consider the CV you need to get that job.

Sorry have to disagree here, She's a woman in an extreme-politically correct organisation that see's it as a selfmade target to have women visibly in their ranks. Harriet Harman has been in all the typical women type jobs the government has had. Can anyone tell me anything she has achieved? She's a labour trophy. And John Prescott is deputy PM. I feel entitled to run up the M4 now in excess of the ton, and i don't run the country. Thing is I don't, as part of my job, tell other people not to, and then do it myself. Her true self has been revealed. She's an arrogant witch who clearly believes "one rule for me, and one for the plebs"
