Nasser has quit as the one day skipper. I don't think this is such a bad thing, I do hope he stays on a test skipper though.

What 'one day' did he actually do anything that warrants the title skipper then? Doesn't seem to have done much.

It's a good thing -- it gives him a break to concentrate on Test cricket, and it allows someone else to have a go at captaincy in preparation for when Hussein retires altogether. Plus he's not shown that his decision-making at one-day cricket is entirely of the highest order...

As skipper he was automatically in the one-day side under the current regime as their thinking leaves a lot to be desired. The Aussies have a different skipper for Test and ODIs. As England used to do, Atherton and Hollyoake Snr.

We should have kept with this policy. All Sunday afternoon I was bellwoing at the tele as the Aussies picked up single after bloody single. What do you do when you have a no10 and no6 together you give the no6 the one and then bring the fields into the circle and force the no10 to go through or over you, hence making him play a shot he doesn't *really* want to play

Not keep the bloody field the same for both batsmen and create ZERO pressure whilst the scoreboard ticks on and on

No wonder he plays for Essex. Test skipper yeah, well, he'll do for now. ODI skipper - good riddance.
