SHOCK! Virgin Trains In Cut Back Suprise!!
Discussion
Just heard on the local news that Virgin are to cut back their service from Brighton to the midlands/north from one train an hour to .... get this ..... it'll kill ya' ..... ONE A DAY! And it will depart at (
this is killing me) 05:25!
And Fatty Two Jags and Bliar call it an intergrated transport policy.
Should help get a few thousand cars back on the under used roads!
I'm not pointing the finger directly at Virgin because I do believe they get hit with a lot of bad press when others are to blame. (Railtrack or whatever it's called). It just seems to be Virgin who are always at the centre of such bollox!

To be fair though I think that train stopped at every pile of bricks between Brighton and Timbuktoo (sp ?). You we're probably better off getting a London to Victoria Express (Sic.) and then getting the tube to KingsX or whatever terminus serves where your going from there.
I think there's also a direct Brighton to Edinburgh service that runs once a week and takes all day to get there - literally.

I concur with that entirely, just why hasn't Branson been publicly acknowledged as a job creator/industrialist????? Any guesses???

Yep. I've got this from Reading to Preston recently and assuming all goes reasonably sh1te allow at least 4 hours for that trip.
I've also got it from Preston to Edinburgh - then it really does what it says on the tin (assuming it gets to Preston on time). About 2.75 hours.
So the early leg is pathetic but the Northern times seem reasonable.
this country just gets worse
So we have crap trains crap buses rip off taxis , and they want us to use public transport if we all gave up driving for a day this country would ground to a halt and send its self back to the dark ages dont they realise that people need cars to get around to do jobs and keep the economy going ? to be honest im not looking to buy a house in the uk anymore i think i will go else where
australia maybe

I can report that Southern Spain is very good.
Malaga metropolitan area downto Fuengirola not
only has English almost universally understood, everything
dirt cheap, and no nonsense about speed cameras,
but also, most car related laws seem to be widely ignored.
150 kmh down the local motorway and get flashed
at for not driving fast enough - surely not sir !
Only fly in the ointment is the 1,950 mile drive to get there.

i think bob the(frozen flat cap)planner was colder than me

Winter 2004 Spain Sprint, think Bob would do a map?
You could go to worse places... drive year round, speed enforcement is basically zero, although we did get a couple of days of snow this year! Some amazing wines, and the Spanish live for the night... You want a map, let me know. And stop on by and say "hi" for a while!
We now return you to your regular program...
