Help please - lost radio code

I have recently changed the baterry on my wife's car - which has of course meant that the radio code has to be re-entered.
Of course she has lost the code and the dealership went out of business years ago so they won't be any help.
Car is a 2000 Peugeot 206. Anyone offer any help or assistance before we have to resort to talking to each other?

put the head unit in the freezer - I've heard it kills the code

ps - any Pug dealer will be able to sort the code out for you

Whip the radio out (a small screwdriver in each corner hole usually sorts it), you'd be amazed how may people have scrawled the radio code onto their radio previously.

A dealer will sort it out for you no problem. However, it will probably cost you more than buying an aftermarket unit which doesn't need a code. Can get basic CD players from £35 upwards now.
