I was never a fan of the recently departed V8s having witnessed the v10 era up close but having heard this anything would be better!!

Sounds good to me!! Is it just me hoping for anti lag and pops and bangs on the launch control? Or will that go against the fuelling regs?

First engine preview of any of the V6s that I've actually liked the sound of, although be interesting to see what impact the exhaust system is having on this.

Still, hopeful...

Shock horror, an engine in a moving vehicle sounds nothing like and engine on a dyno.

I would also vote for it sounding pretty nice. Why would they test it in a road car though and not a modified older F1 chassis? There seems to be a lot of turbo chatter around 55sec before the driver gets on it, I wonder is this the electric pre-spooling of the turbo?

What did I say when you lot were freaking out over clips released by the manufacturers? It's going to be just fine!

Doesn't sound too bad at all - certainly more raucous than the old 1680s 1.5 turbos.

Sounds better than the V8s. I'm not joking. Lots of character in that whereas the V8s are just a wall of noise. Lots of whooshing, popping and it revs high enough for me.

There is clearly an airbox protruding from the middle of the roof as well.

There is an electric motor attached to the turbo. It doesn't need retarded ignition and late injection of fuel to get the thing spooling up.
