Official 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix Thread ***SPOILERS***

After an awful, neutered Belgium we’re in Hungary, the last race before the summer break. This circuit used to get a lot of stick but its layout should suit the current power units down to the ground- short circuit length, lots of braking.

Norris won here last year, starting his mid-season renaissance that took him to the title. McLaren is bringing more updates this weekend and after his pace in Belgium Norris could be a contender here. But all eyes will be on the updated Aston Martin, but I expect very little improvement. A turd is always a turd.

Ferrari should also go well here, and we can assume Mercedes will too.

Norris gets my vote for the win, as a left-field choice.

Kimi odds on but went for Hamilton as he normally goes well here and he was confident he could have challenged at spa if he didn't crash in fp3.

Thanks for the thread PiaP, Spa was meh as expected, (dreading Monza), at least we should get reasonable recharging here. LH for the win if they get the car dialled in quickly as he normally goes well at this track.

I’ve gone for Lewis for the same reasons as above plus I think he’ll be really ‘keen’ to put last weekend behind him with some added Hammertime.

I see my vote for Norris is not getting a lot of love The McLaren was properly rapid in Belgium, and tends to like slower tracks more than fast…..
