Uh huh, amp and sub, so far, so normal. VHS and tft display a bit different, but probably a 5 minute job to remove and put in the bin, what's the issue?

I'd be surprised if this was a brand new ferrari, but my guess is, a Vauxhall astra....

And of course that VHS Video player in the boot.
All fixed to a bit of floppy trim panel.

Not a standard fitting in a Lotus Excel.

And yes, it's coming out.

What was it in that photo that attracted you to that car exactly?

In its defence...that kit was very good quality back in the day.

JL Audio W0 subwoofer and Denon DCA (something) amp.

Subwoofer looks like it is toast. They have a foam surround and it looks like it has deteriorated?

Does any of it work?

Did you shoot through the floor with an elephant gun to drain it?

That doesn't look like an Astra glovebox.

The OP has said it's Lotus Excel.

I've read the original C70 Coupes can leak around the door mirrors.

Dunno!
It's now in the corner of the garage. I'm now looking to instal a new stereo/BT/CD (despite it being difficult to get a CD into a player due to the proximity of the gearstick). Delved behind the non functioning unit currently "fitted". Someone has obviously been there before, can't find the original speaker cables (which are dangling in the doors) but there's lots and lots of cables and tape.

I do love a good mystery.
