I’ve seen a few of these signs/stickers recently on the back of various vans. What does it even mean? Is it a warning or a request?

Basically acts supposedly as a deterrent for criminals and a request for police assistance by indicating the vehicle is transporting goods of a high value most likely, so assume the vehicle is being followed by police, before you think about jacking it probably.

I've had it on the back of the Cash Vans I used to drive, it's to make them easily identifiable if you enter a monitored area. Usually comes into force around Christmas time but is also used in high risk areas. It wasn't abnormal to have a police car, marked it unmarked, following you if they were free from other duties. I've called into the central control multiple times over the years when unmarked cars have followed me round the Hereford area as they have military police as well as regular police all over thanks to the army bases around the area. Was just a case of staying in the van until it was confirmed to be them then carry on with them following you around until they either got bored or got called away.

The signs are used on any high risk cargo too so not unusual to see them on otherwise unmarked regular vehicles too, not just the armoured cash vans.

I have seen similar on council vans.
Its says police follow this van 10pm-6am as the van should under no circunstances be out of the compound during those times.

A few years back the security companies threatened to stop cash deliveries across Merseyside, Greater Manchester and West Yorks due to the high volume of attacks on crews

Dedicated Police patrols were allocated to accompany the vans, along with CCTV vehicles and in high risk areas the patrols would be by ARV's

So it’s a statement that the Police follow a particular vehicle-

- or may be following?
