Alderley Edge Car Spotting - Police Activity

Anyone local will know that there have been complaints about the number of supercars (and less super) cruising through Alderley Edge and pissing the residents off. Which is tricky as many of the owners live there but hey ho. Police have used injunctions to stop meets/cruises but interesting one this morning was a van which was parked on the approach at a set of traffic lights. The van was marked up as Highway Maintenance with no gatso signage. What seemed strange was that the traffic light camera on the opposite side of the junction flashed several times when nobody had jumped the red light, and a similar single flash appeared at the same time from the windscreen of the van. I wonder if somebody is gathering evidence of cars approaching Alderley Edge with a front and rear photo.
