Hi further to my post on the BMW forum I wondered if anyone has experience of non grip run flats! Then what tyres they have changed them for? Even with sedate driving I just can’t seem to get any grip from the rear…( I have booked it in for a geo check with local MD)

Any help gratefully received…

Silly amounts of torque, cold weather (so cold tyres), I'm hardly suprised!

If you have summer tyres on then what can you expect? I have 18" SE wheels with winter tyres and they are fine, non runflats of course

There's a lot of decent tyres out there - F1's are my favourite but Rainsports are talked quite highly of.

Michelin PS3...

The roads are so greasy from all the crap recently it's impossible to put much power down anyway.

Don't know what you're doing but my 335d with RE050A RFTs is fine, even in these conditions. Sure, if I come out of a damp corner and leap on the gas the back end will step out a bit but the DSC brings it back into line and off it goes like the proverbial.

Our's is fine unless you're very very aggressive with the throttle, at which point the traction control is (irritatingly) effective.

I've got the Rainsport II's on my EP3 Type R, they are very good in the dry and absolutely amazing in the wet. Cannot make a direct comparison with a 335D as mine has no torque!

That's because they're so fast they have gone back in time.

Nor me, as the MX 5 is about as torquey as yours, but really very good tyres indeed on mine.

I'd surprised if there were any tyres that could keep that she-demon on the peaceful side of the oppo war border.
