Shock, Horror - BBC in positive bias shocker!!!!

It seems that Auntie has really ruffled the feathers of well-known electro-cate Kryten, aka Robert Llewellyn. They did a real-world trip using a Mini-E electric car, from London to Edinburgh and after the four days it took to get from 'darn there' to 'oop there', they worked out that the electric wunderwagen managed the heady average of 6mph... yes - SIX miles per hour!!

Why did the BBC choose or allow Mr Milligan to make this absurd journey, who’s editorial decision was it? What is their motivation? ...
