Can anyone tell me where on an electric powered car is warm air for the heater and demisters drawn from?
Obviously there is no water-cooling system as on a conventionally powered vehicle, and i would have thought that some sort of electric powered heating element device would be quite a drain on the batteries
Cheers

Most will be resistive heaters whilst we wait for heat pumps to mature and drop in price using 1/3 of the electricity. A heater uses alot but so does the car. Probably 2000W so run it for an hour and thats 6 miles IF it was on full chat. So if your doing 60mph you have dropped range 10% worse case. The problem is the heater is time related load so in traffic/slow journey the effect on range is bigger.
