Old man gave me a call earlier, problem with the car (2004, 1.4 16v, 38k miles).

A while after getting out and locking up, the main beam comes on. All by itself.

If you go out to the car, the remote central locking wont work, and you have to use the key in the door for the central locking.

Jump in, flash the main beam, off it goes. Display screen in the centre of the cabin appears to be a bit loopy as well.

Car starts and drives fine, no other issues, except when you lock up and leave it....

Any thoughts ?

I had a 307 of this vintage a few years ago and had an airbag warning fault and that was put down to the "Com 2000" module which was replaced under warranty, the dealer saying they cause a variety of problems.
