i got cought doing 45 in 20 zone usually a 40 zone but twenty when light are and the police said the lights were on police took my details and going to fisco wat us the likely out come of this?

Suck it up OP - you were stupid enough to be speeding near a school, what did you expect?

Even if it was a 40 zone without the lights on, you were doing 45 which would be right on the limit anyway and I suspect you would of got a talking to regardless.

Depending on your circumstances and your history (how many points you already have), you'll either get a short ban or a moderately long ban. I assume you weren't offered a fixed penalty so it'll go to court. I'd be saving for a bus pass I'm afraid.

Just an observation and not saying I disagree that it's foolish to drive quickly past a school, but PH seems awfully PC and quick to jump down peoples throats when they don't know the circumstances with this. He said it's normally a 40? Maybe the lights were faulty or obscured in some way and he's highlighted an issue that should be cleared up so nobody else makes the same mistake?
