chrysler 300's, now quite cheap
Discussion
Just been thinking of getting a full size estate, always liked the look of these. Now they've stopped making 'em dealers are selling delivery milers for 19-21k. These were a 30k car not long ago, and you do get loads of kit. Post facelift 58 plate CRD's can be had for 16k from a main dealer. Might take one out for test drive. Anyone on here got one? Both me and the missus are used to big cars, and these are BIG.

Noooo don't exaggerate they are nothing like that good - except the Hemi!
te. Avoid like AIDS.I test drove the Diesel and the Hemi. very tacky interior especially the false tortoiseshell! Horrible handling, quite a nice ride but made the kids feel ill. Hemi engine was excellent.
No way could I live with one

Best to test drive one. On here you'll get either people who have driven it and loved it, people who have driven it and hated it, plus both camps from those that have not driven it. Of the ones who hate it and not driven it, 99% will be spewing whatever Jeremy Clarkson has said. Test drive in order, make up your own mind.

The Hemi and SRT8 have lovely sound to them, they are really cheap with nasty interiors.
They are normally owned by people around my way who think they are pimps and gangsters, but they normally drive the diesel version.
For that reason I would avoid them, other wise they look ok to my eyes anyways and they are ok as a cruiser but not as a fun machine but the SRT is suppose to be okish in the handling dept.
Only been in a diesel version so can't really give proper view of the petrols except for the sound they make which is rather nice.

Just been checking. The Merc bits are. engine & trans (v good appaarantly), wiring harness, rear suspension & steering bits. The platform, and the other bits are Chrysler's. I actually think the estate looks well carried out, some estates ruin the good looks of the saloon on which they're based. For the same money I could get a 5 yr old E class estate from a main dealer with 50k on the clock. With a 3 month warranty.
