I do hate insurance!

Hey, being young there is a typical stereotype for young boys in cars right? But is there anywhere that people knows will give a 19 year old classic car insurance on a classic car! (A volvo 244) Ive just rang somewhere up and they need a slap. He turned around saying its not a classic! :/ Not good. Sooo send your help please. Give advice or just moan! :/ I am not a happy chappy about this.
Would put a older memeber of the family on but what will happen to NCB. as they wont take me as a main driver.

A lot of the companies who used to offer classic policies to under 25's are turning away from this, probably because they've realised that some people are using this as a way to get an old banger on the road cheaply. This is probably better for classic car owners in the long term though, as it will protect their niche market. Everything is insurable for a price. Sounds like you're trying to 'cheat' the system by insuring it as a classic rather than a normal car. I'm sure most insurers (direct line, admiral etc etc) would cover you.
Also are you aware than most classic policies require the car in question to be a 2nd car? so you have to actually own another one.

Yu cant just define any 'old heap' as a classic mate.When people see your car, do they think 'wow - thats a classic' or do they think 'I wonder how that p.o.s. got through its M.O.T'?

But thats me and like most people on here I like cars, your average joe though may see it as a POS which may have included the person in the insurance company.

Their expalnation? Well sir, there might me nicer cars parked on drives there, and more kids playing in the street, and you might hit them. Oh but you can cancel the policy for £48.50. Utter utter w

Footman James vary the definition of a classic depending on the make. I asked on the phone and I'm pretty sure they said any MG or Land Rover over 5 years old could be insured.
