You hardly ever see gold coloured cars on the road anymore. During the 70's and 80's they were far mor popular. My dad had a Gold Granada 2.3 and then a Champagne Gold Renault 25 GTX.

If you go to Ireland there are gold cars everywhere. But over here it's Silver/Black/Recession White.

I was just wondering if there was a definitive reson or if it was just a trend.

Is it not bling? (did I say that correctly?)

I've noticed in our work car-park a lot more black cars recently, whereas a couple of years back it was filled with silver cars.

As far as gold ones go, haven't noticed many recently, which is a good thing IMHO. smile

I saw an 11 plate A6 in a gold-y brown yesterday- looked great!

Probably because it wasn't black or silver!

I have to confess to owning a gold car, the colour does seem to polarise opinion.

There's a Gold Rover 25 on my driveway right now! Not mine but the O/H's. Hopefully it will be making way for a C70.

I had an early 80s Merc 500 SEC, which I was told the colour in the trade was known as "Jewish Racing Gold".
