Sub £1000 Classifieds

Whenever I see a copy of Autotrader, or my local magazine, I always flick through the sub £1000 classifieds - in amazement at some of the best barges, workhorses, and unloved sports bargains that can be picked up for less than four figures. With a theoretical budget of one bag of sand, whats the best bargain you can find in the PH classifieds that you would happily use as a daily to keep the miles off of your regular steed?

I'll get the ball rolling with 5 minutes of browsing - but I'm sure you can do better - bonus points for 6 cylinders plus!

I know what you mean, always interesting to have a look at the budget bargains, today's readers car Merc S class for £650 has to be one of the best!

Maybe the best value for money these days seems to be £1k to £2k as any old snotter with Mot and tax could be worth £500 to £900 these days.

Cars for about £1k? This should be a regular PH feature.

My favourite sub £1k cars at the moment are both on Autotrader, both have 6 cylinders and around 200hp and both are tempting me strongly.

Looks lovely, I love how criminally cheap good cars with big engines and the potential for the odd big bill have become.
