Best driving gloves in the winter suggestions please
Discussion
I have some of these that I use for that purpose when it is really cold. They are tight-fitting and have decent non-slip grip so that you can actually drive in them (unlike wool or fleece gloves). Also use them as general walking-around gloves for the same reasons.

I was surprised how the steering wheel of a recently purchased car feels a lot colder than the wheels in other cars I have owned in recent years. It's almost painfully cold when first getting in the car so I'm thinking of keeping a pair of thin gloves in the car for short winter journeys. Some thin gloves from Decathlon - either for running or football - look ideal.
I've only just realised my fun cars over the past decade+ have had alcantara wheels, which certainly helps on a cold weekend morning.

Driving gloves? Really ? Has Pistonheads gone that low? Maybe you should try looking on a knitting forum.
This. wtf. Put the heater on if you're such a girl.
) etc for a winter's day drive?
I feel like I should take the piss, but I used to wear gloves driving my 300CE. It took forever to warm up and didn't seem to be able to counter act wind chill on the motorway.
Only car I've ever had the washer jets freeze up on incidentally. Perhaps winter of 2009 was just damn cold?!

In 1981 I was sitting for ages in the dark in a Hillman Imp outside our unoccupied new house waiting for furniture to be delivered. It was -17°c, now that was bone chillingly cold and the washers most definitely did not work. Most cars struggled to turn over, many were abandoned when their 12v batteries gave up, some split their casings.
Yes, I was wearing gloves.
Heated steering wheels? Mmm luxury, yes please.

I just push the buttons. Within a mile or so you can feel the wheel warming up, and at the same time the heated seat is starting to warm my backside.
Distressingly though, whilst the seat has 3 levels of warmth, the wheel is either on or off so after a while it becomes a bit too hot. FML.
