I love readers cars, it's my favourite part of the forum seeing what everyone else drives and the mad justifications that we all make for driving our cars.

I've seen a few projects on there that have looked amazing but have never come to fruition.

Can you share your favourite Reader's Cars projects that never materialised, I fancy reading some inspiration before choosing my next car, because that modified 1990 Jimney for sale across the road from me is calling out for a UZV8

A sort of Grand Designs that never made it? Come to think of it, how do Grand Designs projects always seem to pull through in the end? Or is there a vast stock of used videotape in a basement somewhere with all the projects they abandoned filming partway as the house or the finances collapsed in a heap?

They don't always - this one was abandoned and eventually washed up on a beach in Essex!

Exactly like that!

I've seen a few over the years where the owner has suddenly zombie threaded it and they are showing off lots of progress, or they have just added a PH sticker to it.

I really must get my project to turn a Ferrari into an MR2 replica underway.
