Parking Restrictions and Broken Yellow Lines
Discussion
What happened to broken yellow lines at the roadside to indicate a time restriction on parking?
No doubt there will be people on here showing me photos of them in their neighbourhoods, but it must be years since I've seen them. Time restrictions seem to only be denoted by roadside signs now.
I was in St Anne's today, near Blackpool, and there's a stretch of road near the pier limited to two hour parking. The signs are on every few lamp posts but there are always people who've parked between the signs and received parking tickets because they've presumably not seen the signs. Broken yellow lines painted along the roadside would make it clear to everyone there is a time restriction and they need to find and check a sign telling them what it is.
