Ask a more interesting question, what is the most successful failed supercar. Probably TVR.
There are a lot of cars made with the intention of selling lots but in this country in particular it peters out due to high wages, high taxes, lack of enthusiasm by everyone except the original investor / designer. So there are a lot of one-off cars which never get past first base despite promises that they're revolutionary and everyone will want one.

By that metric, it could be argued the McLaren F1.There are a lot of cars made with the intention of selling lots but in this country in particular it peters out due to high wages, high taxes, lack of enthusiasm by everyone except the original investor / designer. Original target was 300 cars, only 106 were built including the prototypes & race cars.

Following on from today's news story and comments, it was asked 'How many supercars have seen that will be awesome etc fail to make it in the past 10 years?'
The list would be considerably shorter if it was asked: 'How many supercars have we seen that actually made it in the past 10 years?'If we're talking about new marques, I doubt you'd run out of fingers on one foot.
