Has a manufacturer's colour palate stopped you buying a car?

I've mentioned this before and I know a lot of people criticise manufacturers for having boring colours so have you ever liked a car and considered one but then decided against it because the colours are boring or lacklustre?

For me, I would probably have bought a Fiesta ST Mk 8 had they kept the Spirit Blue metallic but I really don't like their current range of colours and even the new Evil Green is about 5 years out of date. Renault Sport seem to offer far better colours.

I was put off a Hyundai i30N by the baby blue paintwork, a couple of years ago (they seemed to comprise the majority of what dealers had in stock) but I saw an i20N in the same colour, yetserday and it actually suited it far better.

I ended up buying a metallic grey Insignia and, even now, it's the one reason I want to change it as it's so dull.

No. Every manufacturer has at least 1 inoffensive colour. Personally I would just go black or grey for a daily.

The last thing anyone should want as their "daily" is a black car. I still have nightmares about trying to keep my old car looking vaguely presentable. I will never ever own another black car.

I’m not really fussed about it looking clean, if it’s not something special and/or expensive. If it is one of those two then, I wouldn’t choose black. My grey VW Polo is none of those things so I rarely ever wash it. When it’s clean it doesn’t look much different to when it’s dirty, so why bother? I make sure to get on top of bird poo though.

The inside is another story. I always keep it immaculate and smelling fresh. A dirty interior is disgusting.

Oh my god, the ignominy and especially so as a fully paid-up member of the grammar na2is.

Apologies and "palette".

Bugger.....the shame.

Most manufacturers seem to have such a bland selection of colours these days. Would sir like one of these fetching shades of grey, or would he dare to drift up or down the brightness scale to black or white.

I miss the days where there were a selection of proper highly saturated colours rather than the slightly colour tinted grey or silver we now get.
