Afternoon,

With a budget of around £10,000 who is likely to insure a 19 Year old on a 2019, 992 2S.

6 Months of experience on a 2022 Cayman S and looking to part-ex to a 911 before trading that in for my GT4 or run it alongside which arrives in November 2022 or later.

Just looking for help/guidance I've tried most places but wondered of any recommendations.

My job title is not a VIP job, so unable to get insurance through footballer's insurance agencies.

Regards,
Stone.

I'm calling custard. And yes I'm a terrible judgemental person. You have to take a picture of your car with a tin of Birds Custard powder on the bonnet. And then I'll take a walk of shame.

If you can afford those cars at 19, do you even need to budget for insurance?

Unfortunately I can't offer any advise with your parameters, but congratulations for putting yourself in a position to achieve what you're doing at your age.

Bit arrogant mate, why does he need to prove himself to you? Are you able to help him in any way if he does?

OP, i suggest contacting a specialist broker and asking their advice

You can try Paul at Crowthorne Insurance - he's a friend and a broker who provides a 'collectors policy' for me.

He might say no, but worth a phone call.

Do the usual comparison sites not quote for you at that age on those cars?

My brother insured a VX220 Turbo at 19 no issues, think it was something like £600 with a couple of years no claims. That was a while ago no but have things really changed that much?

Appreciate it, I'll give him a call today. Just waiting for a quote back from an agent, not looking to put in too many quotes at once as looking for the policy to start Friday smile.

Saw the OPs name and title of the thread. Guessed this would be the first reply before even reading it. rolleyes

Got to admire the OPs persistence trying to get advice here despite getting bullst like this on every thread.

Who insures your Caymen? Will they not insure a 911?

Maybe ask on the Porsche section of the forum; quite a few on there don't ever venture into General Gassing so you might get some relevant answers. I'm assuming using the same insurer as the Cayman is a non-starter for some reason?

Admiral, but going from £65k -> £100k and an additional 100Bhp causes mayhem among providers.

I have around 12 quotes for the Cayman, but 1 for the 911 and currently having issues progressing forward.

Side note I use this forum for help and browse it for information, negative comments don't affect me and just make me laugh so thanks for the help!

It's that £100k barrier that's the kicker.

Have you tried talking to Porsche directly?

I think you're going to need a specialist broker.

I'm guessing part of the challenge is declaring the tree that fell onto your car and the subsequent loss / claim, that aligned with your driving history / age / car value jump means that there are never going to be a queue of insurers willing to take the risk, you may have to bite the patience bullet and wait a bit before you get the 911, are you 100% you can get the GT4 covered ?

As stated further up probably needs a specialist insurer that views each application on its own merits rather than just 'computer says no.'

Adrian Flux, Nowell and Richards - places like that.

Sorry I can't be of more help and enjoy your 911 (I had one at 37 and felt like a superhero so you should love it!)

How long before we get to forex or crypto?

OP - there are these people called insurance brokers. You should get in touch with one or two and you'll get answer rather than a range of opinions on here. There's also this thing called Google which will help you find insurance brokers.255 40 17 michelin pilot sport 2

Can't imagine a 992 C2S is likely to appreciate (i of course realize i could be wrong) & assuming the current values of used, could you not request quotes with a value of £99k which 'might' open several doors?

Yeah I guess insurance brokers aren't really in the mind of most people since Meerkats took over the world. 265 35 20 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S
