Who has the coolest car on Pistonheads??
Discussion
Been having a think about recent stand out readers rides....
My top 3 would be the '72 911t restoration, the 205gti 4x4 cosworth but my winner would be by far the crazy 911 fella who delivers race parts across Europe in his highly modified gt3....others include the incredible American restomod pick up but not spotted an update of that in ages...

I'm not a 911 guy, but I'm going to go with poppopbangbang's modified 911. It is that cool.

Posting after being bugged to!
So lets cut to the chase:

Original IMS, original engine, original gearbox.
Built for commuting across Europe and the top end of Africa at speed it can carry 96L of fuel, generate it's own 240V mains supply, has three GPS receivers and one GLONASS receiver, a sat phone, telemetry, remote diagnostics, it's own specific lightweight Facom tool kit & spares package, 48hour emergency food and water, holds 10L of engine oil, can wade 0.5M of water, has BS5051 spec seal sealing tyres along with TPMS, a lot of underbody protection and a Tomtom!
It can also give quite a reasonable account of itself around a circuit and is capable of over 420 miles range at a 125mph cruise.
.....and pages and pages more of this awesome stuff......

Great question but there obviously can't be an answer as what is cool for one person is silly and irrelevent for another so we're going to get a thread with lots of cars at various levels of "coolness".
You'd really have to define cool.
To me, cool is impressive without really trying.
That probably rules out most expensive cars as it's easy to be impressive if you throw lots of money at it.
It would qualify though if it wasn't expensive when new but it's cool status made it expensive but I guess cool status makes it uncool straight away.
Cars like the Citroen SM are inherently cool but there's too many to single one out and they were expensive which I suppose contradicts my statement about not being cool if expensive.
Harry has some cool cars such as his Lancia, his XJC was cool until the colour change and now is more nice than cool, his Espada is cool but damn it - my expense exclusion throws that one out.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of this thread - there's going to be some cool cars mentioned here.

Andy74b's new 911 2.8 RSR from the recent Silverstone auction that he's posted on his Insta that he's currently driving down to do the Targa Florio has got to be up there.

Its very nice, but its nowhere near the coolest, its covered in stickers and the mention of "Insta" kind of rules it out for me.rallye101 said:
