Good car hire/track day hire spots in the UK

Good morning Brain's trust, after some ideas if you'd be so kind.
Back in the UK for a week and unexpectedly have a couple of days free with no meetings and family and friends all at work, so want to do some of the days with some car related fun.
Ideally looking to either hire something interesting (a 430, exige, gallardo, hurracan or similar spring to mind, but I'll take what I can get. Something noisy and fun.) and go explore some of my favourite roads for a few days or jump on a track day or two.
So with that in mind, can anyone recommend
a) A hire place that might have some imminent availability - Ideally somewhere that doesn't have huge deposits or has a reduction scheme - the cost isn't too much the problem, more that I'd just rather not be chasing up a huge deposit from overseas - a few places I've hired from have taken 30-60 days to return a $10k deposit in the past and chasing up from overseas just isn't the one.
Somewhere that people have actually experienced would be great.
b) Somewhere that has some good track experiences, ideally in something enjoyable and not overly restrictive, anything from a rally school to a Ferrari, not too picky, just missing my own car and craving getting behind the wheel of something a little more exciting than my Sportage hire car
Slightly tempted to tick off something I didn't do enough when I lived here and get a car hired for the Nurburgring but that's a whole level of logistical headaches that I'm not sure I've got time to arrange.
Any ideas for a petrol head to entertain himself with for a few days would be appreciated, the easily swayed idiot in me has failed to find something so is starting to favour picking up something cheapish in the classifieds and sticking it in a garage somewhere for next time
