I need to insure a car which is located in France to drive it back to England. I only need to insure it for a couple of days but my usual insurer Adrian Flux won’t do it as it’s already located in France and suggested I trailer it back which is not an option. The car is UK registered and has a current MOT. Any suggestions who might be able to help.

You checked the usual daily suspects like dayinsure and cuvva?

You could take out a 12 month policy, and then cancel it when you get back. If it's within 14 days, under distance selling regs, there'll be no cancellation fee, only a deduction for pro rata cover.

Why did you tell them where the car is? Not relevant really, a fully comp policy on a UK plated car gives 3rd party abroad with most providers, but check since we left the EU.

I've used cuvva, very good, but a vehicle age limit of 15, I think. frown

Thanks for the lead. Looks like Cuvva will do it at reasonable cost.
