Log book

Hi,new to this so bear with me.i bought a motorcycle today. It's been standing for years.theres no log book.it has a registration no, and a tax disc,all engine no and clear frame no.when I checked on the dvla site
The reg no didn't come up.its a 1973 bike.my main question is how do I apply for a log book.any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Fill in a V62 form , available from the post office or download and with it send a copy of the tax disc, do not send the tax disc itself as they won't return it.
Tick the box bought without a V5 and there's no £25 fee.
