Does global warming have a positive? Less rust come mot time
Discussion
certainly less salt on the roads if it doesnt get below freezing very much any more. less rinsing salt off the car after a drive in winter.
doesnt help cars that live by the sea though, seawater still salty.
potentially with rising sea levels more of us will be living by the sea, that could be an issue.

But that means more tourists, and for a longer period each summer.. careful what you wish for!
It already happened in the summer of pandemic you cant move here in the summer .I live in a small cottage with a nice garden and I am happy to spend the whole summer there along with a couple of trips to Greece!

Many moons ago when Japanese cars were new to UK, they used to rust worse ( sounds impossible )than the rubbish churned out by BL, FORD & Vauxhall. The reason was two fold, the 1st was they did not rust proof them & as you said our winter salted roads... but the No 2 surprise was when importing them across the very salty Oceans from Japan or wherever... doesnt help cars that live by the sea though, seawater still salty.

I don't care about all this rust waffle
I support climate change as summer here in Devon is getting sunnier and sunnier and I loves it
About 30 years ago, the local paper down on the South Coast came up with all sorts of dire predictions stemming from global warming, including the theory that by 2020, the Isle of WIght would be under water and there would be olive and lemon groves on the South Downs.I support climate change as summer here in Devon is getting sunnier and sunnier and I loves it
I'd still like to know who I need to sue, as neither of these has come true.
More energy in the atmosphere means more violent localised weather - hailstorms and abrupt rainstorms.
More cars written off with hail damage. (I've beaten the rush with a Cat N Vauxhall Agila for my son that looks like it has been attacked with a ballpein hammer).
I also got 2 convertibles for the sunnier weather and a full size 4x4 on order for the floods and potholed roads.
We have a house on the top of the hill and solar panels; more sun will be most welcome.
