I’ve observed that there are 4 abandoned cars cluttering up my already congested street. All 4 are taxed/MOT’d but all show uninsured and have sat for months taking up valuable parking spaces on the side of the street.

Unable to report to council or dvla as they are taxed. Reported one of them to the police around a year ago but they couldn’t care less.

Is there anything more I can do here as I’m tired of having no where to park?

If they are uninsured... surely they shouldn’t be on the road.
If you’re not getting any joy... try your local Counciller.

Maybe your local County Council can advise... but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

exactly my thoughts.. they shouldn’t have the right to park on the road if they aren’t insured.

In the eyes of the council, if they have tax and mot they’re not abandoned and couldn’t care less about the lack of insurance/being illegally parked

Do you walk around with a clip board and check all your neighbours cars for tax mot and insurance?
Move to the country with a nice detached house or stop worrying about other people’s cars parked on the street - it’s got nothing to do with you.

Useless comment…
No but they tend to stick out when they don’t move for 6-12 months and start growing moss around the flat tyres.. also, I’m not just a nosy neighbour trying to grass someone up for fun, spaces are hard to come by in this street so I want them to go park somewhere which isn’t opposite my house.

Not even going to entertain the dumbass response of moving to the country.. *facepalm

Didnt take long for this predictable type of reply.

All taxed & MOT’d & then just ‘left’, it does sound a bit strange.
Chances are that they all belong to one person who is a car enthusiast & has bitten off more than they can chew.

Put a discrete, but polite notice under the the windscreen wipers...
( Worth a try...) scratchchin

NB: MOT: They might have scraped through many months ago... but maybe they won’t for the next one.

No Tax, No Mot... then you will have a case & MIGHT get a result with the Councils assistance.

Moron.

Had the same issue as you OP and I DO live in the country. Said neighbour had 2 cars exactly the same, moss growing round the wheels and uninsured. I reported to the police online (can’t remember exactly where)… neighbour got a knock a few days later and magically they were gone within days. Good luck getting sorted.

Oh dear. I think someone may have more cars than he has off road parking spaces.

So much easier, to make it someone else’s, another streets problem.
