Obviously going to happen after the latest video I watched.
People watch to see clueless idiots break their cars. Racing through it making big splashes isn’t why people tune in imo.

No surprise at all looking at the videos, imagine living near there with 100 people turning up every weekend to film it. Kids, chavs, shouting etc

Wonder if the guy on the bike who fell off finally did it. Badly broke his leg apparently

I would guess the locals are relieved,

possibly not at the closure but for all the attention it got. I think the diversion was about 4 miles from memory.

It was that white SEAT Ibiza wasn’t it?

Oh, and that blue Defender.

Won't somebody think of the Walts?!

Where are Colin and Clive going to take their snorkel-equipped, lifted Landies now?! There's not always nurses to be shuttled around y'know.

Not surprising really, it is disappointing though as I do enjoy watching the videos of all the idiots bending the rods of their £30k cars for absolutely no reason hehe

Was bound to happen though. In some of the videos you can see kids playing in the ford, and their parents are letting them! WTF?! Even without the morons in Defenders and Hilux Surfs hitting it at 40+, you're literally letting your kids play in a road?! I'm amazed tbh that it didn't end horribly. There's an Impreza estate that hits it at Christ knows how many MPH, and VERY nearly has a head-on with another (stationary) car on the other side of the road.

It suddenly got famous on social media recently so clearly loads of people have been turning up. I don’t get why people would do this to their car.

He was a grade a bell end. He was reversing down it at speed!. All it takes is a child to not look and you have a fatality.

I've always wondered whether insurance companies would still pay out for these?

If you've gone through road closed signs then willingly destroyed your car for the lols can they refuse to pay out for intentional damage?

When the first video compilations started to show up on YouTube it was fairly mundane stuff being driven sensibly through the ford. There was a bit of a 'will they or won't they make it?' aspect. I had noticed in more recent videos that it seemed to have become a magnet for idiots driving carelessly. I expect that the people living nearby will at least get some respite now from the louts gathering there.

I saw that video on YouTube and instantly thought what a throbber, more so when he was doing it repeatedly with half the bumper hanging off.

I don't even particularly get why some people risk it knowing full well that it's probably going to end in disaster at the other end.

Living next to that would drive me batty.

There's only so many men with yellow-tinted sunglasses breaking their beHalforded Freelander on my doorstep while s cheer on that I could put up with.

And I dunno what the normal water level is, and maybe it's only filmed when it's high, but I'm surprised that's considered a passable route.

I know where the air intake is on my motor and it's far below the lowest levels I've seen there.

Hopefully that's permanent, as there's a good chance a couple of lives will be saved.

It's been a regular in the Walt thread, and it was clearly getting more and more out of hand, with special mentions for.

- Pushy Blue Defender drowning another car.
- Seat "me make big splash" Ibiza.
- Swervy Impreza Dick.
- Motorbikes Don't Float.

Genuinely only a matter of time before someone was run over by some weapon hammering through there to show off for the youtube divs.
