Does anyone know which hatchbacks sold within the last 15 years had rear disc brakes?

there were still plenty with drum brakes if you go back a few years. A couple still do.

Would it be easier to list any cars still being sold with rear drum brakes?

They were available on most models with slightly larger (i.e. >1.4) engines; my 07 Clio had rear discs.

My Mums Honda Jazz CVT has rear discs and even as a 75 year old, she complains at how slow the car is!

Most Fiestas have drum brakes on the back. Random off topic the Audi Q4 electric SUV has rear drum brakes.

Just out of interest, why?

The ID.3 (and some other EVs I believe) have drum brakes at the rear.

I have seen quite a few Honda Jazz with drums. Was there a year when they changed to discs?

I suspect the OP will have to resort to looking through the spokes of the wheels to work out if a particular car has drums or discs.

I believe cars like the latest Focus have different rear suspension depending on the trim level, so it is a minefield finding things in the used market.

Any saloon/hatchback variant I care to name has rear disks. Mondeo, Vectra, Insignia, Passat, the lot. If you're on about your typical hatchbacks, all BMW 1 series' have them, as do Golfs, A3's and their Skoda & Seat counterparts to my knowledge. Astras from the Mk5 onward do too so I'd imagine a good chunk of larger hatches (Astra sized) would have them where the smaller (Corsa) sized ones may stick with drums unless they're warm/hot hatches. I've just noticed the Meriva uses rear disks too. I'm not sure if you class that as a hatchback or small MPV though.
