Without further details, looks like a pretty clear case of an impatient pass on the left.

Where you one of the parties involved?

The passenger side of which vehicle?

Some epically bad driving from both parties, and it has to be noted one of the parties was in fact advertising that his standard of driving is woefully bad (Taxi signs).

Nobody looks good in this exchange.

Footage from a couple weeks back. The footage cuts off just after the taxi driver pulls back from the merge, what follows is cam car coming to a near stop after emergency braking, and no collision. Both cars continue their journey.

If they did collide though, who's at fault? Taxi driver clearly didn't check his mirrors, though was the undertake a fair one?
You do realise collisions very often aren't 100% v 0% liability, but variable degrees of split liability?

Also possible for there to be offences by both parties whether there is a collision or not.

Poor driving by cam car, undertaking clearly, loud music. What was car? Audi or BMW?

Camera car at fault, conscious decision to make a mildly aggressive pass up the inside.

if they'd been sat behind the other car for a noticeable period I'd have been more understanding, but what's shown smacks of impatience/inexperience.

Camera car definitely in the wrong in my opinion, only an idiot would pass a vehicle on the left when it's indicating left.

To be fair that's not true, the taxi began to indicate and maneuver while the car was already passing on the left in view of the mirror.

Agree with this, cam car behind public transport and they normally stick to speed limits or drive a bit slower.
You might anticipate if the left hand is clear he might move into it to let you past if you are in a faster looking car or have been driving closely/aggressively behind them up to that point.

You should have gave him a few more seconds to see if he moved over and he should have checked mirrors and waited to to see if it was clear then move in lane, not signal and move in at the same time.

Poor from both sides but cam car moreso.

Rule 268
Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.

That's what I said, but he argued the taxi driver clearly began to merge without checking his mirrors and there are instances where it's passable to pass on the inside.
He can argue what he likes. I've watched the footage, and I have stated my assessment.

What the insurance companies think is outside my remit.

Camera car
The taxi doesn’t seem to have done anything wrong.

Why was it being filmed, a bit of previous?

The Taxi corrects itself after seeing you so didn't do anything wrong.

If the Taxi didn't correct itself and hit you then hypothetically Taxi at fault.

Both poorly driven, Camara car worse.

I have zero issue passing on the left if people are lane hogging but in this instance I fully agree with the above. Can’t have been much ahead of the white Skoda either when changing lanes.

Camera car at fault had there been a collision. The near side mirror check from the the private hire is only at a point in time, manouvre by the camera car is unusual. Mirror checking is only ever a point in time.

Regardless of fault the cabs driving had red flags all over it, much like a shark posturing prior to attack.

I’d have given them a very wide berth.

I think the undertaker did themselves no favours.

My thoughts exactly - looked dodgy from the beginning of video. Just hang back and prepare for them to do something unpredictable
