What's your 2022 new car of the year?
Discussion
So, it has been an interesting year for new car launches. Some more enticing EV options, some "last hurrah" ICE performance cars and in the form of the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren Artura, some blindingly fast hybrid supercars but which new car from 2022 would you most like to have sat on your drive in 2023?
For me, as much as the new Ferrari is gorgeous and possibly the best-looking Ferrari for 20+ years, it would have to be the new Toyota GR86. I always loved the concept of the GT86 and this one just looks better to me, nicer interior, enough power, affordable running costs and a bargain pricetag in today's day and age, it seems like it's deserving of the rave reviews it has received. It's a car that I think that I could happily use every day for many years and not get bored with. It's just too bad that you can't actually get one. I'll take mine in Neptune Blue.

Biggest fail of the year IMHO is the new Mercedes-Benz C63. It looks great inside and out and has plenty of power "on paper" but that price and without the V8, it seems to completely miss the mark for me. With the twin turbo V8, it could easily be the pick of the class but as it is, it would be behind the M3, RS4 and Giulia Quadrifoglio for me.
