Was out today when I was passed by an S3 saloon that I saw from some distance behind racing up.....Blappin and parpin between shifts ducking and diving between everyone else on the road with feet to spare...think the driver was doing about 60 or 70 in the 40 on urban dual carriageway but strangely he was indicating every lane change. Really odd. Any else seen this style of driving ? Car was single manned so doubt it was any sort of police exercise even if the car was white.
Funny though he got held at the next set of lights and misjudged the queue gapplng so I sailed past him in my little city buzz box. He didnt like it and was off again into the distance and full parp mode.

I think I’ve seen mention if this on TikTok, ahem, where it has become a trend to weave in and out of traffic at high speed, but to do so with out disadvantaging the traffic around you.

The number of people in small modem hatch backs that can’t take a corner, especially on a sweeping a road without braking, if i can take said corner just fine at 30+ in a 20 year old Defender you have no excuse for doing it at 10 mph…

I change lanes frequently and always indicate (though w/o cutting anyone up or forcing anyone to take any avoidance action).

I did see an immaculate orange Muira on the A13 travelling into the city 6 months back . . expecting to see an older raffish gent driving it, it was a young Twiggy look alike girl driving it, which made me even more curious.

This is a trend - if you look on YouTube for people "cutting lanes" or just "cutting up traffic" you'll see plenty of videos of dheads bombing through lanes. It appears primarily an American trend, which makes some sense due to highways and freeways having more lanes than many parts of the UK.

I don’t understand where the contradiction comes in….just sounds like tt driving? Do you mean that it’s odd to indicate when driving like a tool? - I guess even the wallies don’t want to crash?

Not everyone specifies the Indicator Option on their BMWs though. Good to see you did. wink

I must have been lucky - all 8 BMWs I've had so far had the Indicator Option that I use whenever appropriate!

Not many Audis seem to have them fitted these days though. laugh

They don't unless they have the optional extra strobing indicators, then one must use them at every opportunity to assert ones dominance over the peasants around them.

Driving with the sunvisor down at night/dark day but ducking to see under it is my favourite.

My theory on that is that old people go into a showroom for a Focus/Civic/Golf etc, and ask for the top of the range. Salesman's eyes light up at the potential commission and sell them an RS/Type-R/R etc

I've now got this wonderful image of an older gent in a Bentley S3 weaving in and out of traffic whilst wearing a cravat and smoking a pipe.
