Fuzz Backing On Window Outer Rubber Trim/Strip??

Does anyone know what the fuzzy bit is called on the backing of the bottom window outer trim/strip? These usually over time go green with mildew and look horrible. I tried to scrap it off but in doing so I accidentally took off the fuzzy fluff.
Is there a roll of the same stuff I can purchase, where can I get it?
