Hi guys

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask so if the Mods can move if required

I had my car stolen at the start of december, sadly it had the log book in the glove box yes I know school boy error

at the time the Police and Insurance company did not seem bothered, today the insurance company made me an offer whihc I am going to accept but have asked for the log book.....

I went to the DVLA site to get a copy, they say in their notices the car must be in your [my] posession which it is not frown

My insuarance company not helpful [ the mob with the red phone ] saying no log book no money, having spent most of the afternoon on the phone to the DVLA listening to the most dire hold music I did not get to speak to anyone frown

Anyone ever had a similar issue and how did you resolve it

Cheers

Stuart

What happens if you click the button that says it is in your possession?

Pay for a duplicate for £25. Just say it's illegible, went through the wash maybe or similar?

I contacted the DVLA and they really helped me

Paid their fee and got a copy of the log book in just over the week
