RE: Goodwood to mark 30 years of Festival of Speed

The first time I went to Goodwood it cost about £100 for two, we sat on a grassy hill, with a picnic, watching the hill climb while chatting to like minded spectators. Great times.
The last time we went I booked late yet it still cost about £100 for two. But the hill climb was completely lined with grandstands thus we were unable to see any part of the actual hillclimbing. It was televised but I remember thinking I could have seen that sat at home. I felt excluded.
My point being that if you want to see any part of the USP of Goodwood then a ticket with a grandstand pass is a must. They add £25, much more than the £54 in this promo as the real cost is £79, or £96 if you want a program.
Why write this? Well to me this promo and the publicised ticket price feels similar to car ads that have an admin fee buried in the details. Yet in truth £96 is still a great deal for a great day, so why not lead with that?
