used to be all the hype buying the latest car, so much excitement going for the latest model etc. Washing waxing etc making it your pride and joy.
Now its just a white good - practically a washing machine. No enjoyment, and no care for a new one.
anyone else feel this way these days/

Sometimes the car needs to be white goods, particularly if you've kids or a big commute or something.
I'm out the side of all that, and buying the cars i really want. Really get a buzz from them. Current car is an M2.

I'm nowhere near as bothered about cleaning cars as I used to be years ago, however I still have exactly the same passion for ICE cars as I've always had though. I still enjoy driving a performance ICE car as much as I ever have.
I do think that cars are getting more and more boring now because of the influx of EVs though, and they definitely knock my duck off regarding my overall interest in cars in fairness. I'm not excited about the future of cars at all.

I’m not a fan of modern cars because they are so boring.
I’m perfectly happy in my 2011 C63 which with CarPlay retrofitted is the Goldilocks of modern tech and old school charm.
My 2005 Mini Cooper S is also brilliant and full of charm.
Everybody at work drives new or nearly new BMW/Merc/Audi etc and I just can’t bring myself to join them. I don’t want iPads in the dash and low pressure turbo engines.

Just look down an average street and spot the future classic parked on he road. On the whole nothing stands out as being desirable in 20 years plus. They're just junk for the masses and blinged up for those that want that. A 20 year old car will get attention but not for it's age but for it's individualiy.
Nope. Still love them and can’t stop reading about them all, from Dusters to the Purosangue which it seems every journo has just got back from driving.
Life and it’s events do now play a part of course, I’m still not really near being able to run anything >300bhp from a money and practical/reliable point of view but a sudden need might arise!
We, the UK, still have such a broad range of brands and capabilities available for relative pennies that I cherish the day our next car is needed (rather than wanted, see above). Girlfriend still finds it baffling how my head turns to watch this and that plus being able to pick sounds and engine notes out while walking - maybe she’s just entertaining my madness!

I'm not bored with cars, but the urge to own them has gone.
My plan was always to buy an Aston when I retired but when I got there I couldn't be arsed. I still like looking at cars, discussing cars, reading about cars and going to car events.
The cars I have I look after but neither of them would drive anyone wild with curiosity.

Now I’ve just spent a large chunk of cash on a nice drivers car that can handle family duties, I hope I get board of looking at cars. I want to keep this one for a while.
I do find focusing more on the driving experience, rather than the car itself usually proves to be more rewarding. Sunday morning blasts, track days, road trips etc.. It’s easy to spend too much time looking at classifies, rather than enjoying driving.

We were following a V10 R8 yesterday and he absolutely booted it and it sounded amazing. I said to my missus that it had made my day listening to that, and she couldn't understand why and she thought that I was a bit of a saddo to be fair! I loved listening to it though.
Cars/engines have always excited/interested me loads, and when they don't I will start to worry I reckon.

I'm bored of trying to find something to replace my Swift Sport that isn't hugely overpriced...
Does that count?
Funnily enough I find myself in the exact same predicament. Nothing in a sensible(ish) price range is remotely appealing to me atm, so I'll be keeping the Swift for a good while longer methinks.Does that count?
