Driving lesson / experience for a 12 year old
Discussion
It's our daughters 12th birthday coming up soon and she has asked for a driving lesson.
She has driven a Discovery round fields a few times but she wants a go on the road.
Can anyone recommend junior driving lessons / or an experience day (or even a party) preferably reasonably close to North Leeds?
I'm leaning towards https://www.youngdriver.eu but am looking for suggestions. Ta

My Son did everyman Supercar experience at Elvington last year at 12.
It was magical watching a large group of 12+ kids all standing nervously, then one by one, come back fizzing like they'd just taken heroin.
Couldn't fault it... Staff and cars were spot on.
Was about 170 quid IIRC
ETA They were driving... Not pax.
My son drove 430, GTR, and a Lambo.

Tockwith nr York is your best bet.
Junior driving experiences https://www.trackdays.co.uk/driving-experience/jun...
you can also hire the facility at £10 per hour and use your own car.

430, GTR, and a Lambo? At 12 years old, I'd have been fizzing with excitement to have driven a 414, Wagon-R, and a Lada!It was magical watching a large group of 12+ kids all standing nervously, then one by one, come back fizzing like they'd just taken heroin.

The boy is 10 and has done a couple of young driver things at the local airfield.

It was an amazing experience for all the kids there - for the price of a few plastic toys or console games that would be forgotten by end of Feb.
Plus he's driven a Ferrari and Lambo which I've never done, and there is something cool about doing stuff your parents haven at that age.
Only thing I ever drove pre driving licence, was my father's series 1 landy. Still, that was just as cool to me - I'd never even seen a Ferrari or Lambo at 12.
my lad recently used this guy - it’s essentially a proper driving lesson.
Airfield is just down the road from silverstone and there’s a nice cafe in the control tower where you can have lunch and watch the planes flap around whilst you wait.

I'm leaning towards Tockwith now.
I'm also thinking she'll get more out of the driving lesson day than the supercar type day.
I think you have to be 14 to drive there.I'm also thinking she'll get more out of the driving lesson day than the supercar type day.
Have you considered the under 17 car club? It’s a bit full on but they have driving events most weekends across the summer.
