Hello
car was stolen , registered home address different to what's on insurance documents. we were due to move back to my old address, hence i registered my new car and the insurance against my old address.

Forget to change the insurance to current address when our plans changed. car get's stolen. Both address have same premium, wasn't done to save insurance costs

What shall i do. will insurance refuse pay-out.
Thanks

What did your insurance company say when you asked them that question?

Contact your insurance company, what are the timeframes involved?

it'll be fine. cars by definition move around a bit. sure it'll have a place where it is usually stored, but that usually is over the course of the whole year. so might include a month or so somewhere else. especially if you're moving house.

You're going to jail for insurance fraud.

If he is asked and he lies then he is committing fraud, and could end up in jail.

If he is asked to declare then he must. If he isn't then not saying anything isn't a crime. Take this shizzle seriously

Yes they will refuse to pay out and sue you for their inconvenience, You are properly stuffed. The only way out is to move back into the old address for six months and make sure you change all your bank details and pay the Council Tax there. You might be ok then. It will cost several thousand pounds but you'll have to decide if the value of the car makes it worthwhile. Have you still got the remote control for the car?

Entirely depends on the time frame.

If its a few days you'll be fine, if you moved back before Christmas then you're screwed.

It's a very fine line between fraud and not giving away too much where they will do everything to bend you over and do things to the best of their interests. In all honesty I'd be tempted to just tell them you were staying there short term when it happened and not give them too much.

If you've got a tracker/black box then oh dear because you can't even blur the lines.

Was it a Range Rover and did you also forget to tell them about a speeding fine?
