Happens all the time. It's always quickly addressed but I don't understand why some automatic filtering cannot be applied to new posts / posters.

The site could require every new poster to have their very first post approved by a moderator before it goes online. Many of the spammers that I've seen on here would be caught by that. It would force the spammer to construct a plausible Pistonheads comment for post no. 1 before launching into their nonsense on post no. 2, and most surely wouldn't bother with that.
