Interesting vehicle selling point? (High kill count Corolla)
Discussion
So this is a weird one. I'm currently listing up an absolutely pristine and very low millage Toyota corolla for sale that was given to me by an elderly family member who passed. I've owned the car since November (6 months) and I have killed no less then 8 creatures (big and small).
It started off when I first picked up the car and was 180 miles into my 200 mile trip home when what looked like a peacock decided to waltz in front of my car on a motorway. *Poof* up like a firework with red mist coating the car behind. Me and the driver of newly repainted estate (up to the gills in children and camping gear) pulled into a layby checked over both the cars (unfortunately the front fog was smashed, undertray and inner arch very loose). Some quick fixes we made, luckily the guy was a very well prepared camper and lent me and roll of duck tape to patch it up.
That was just the start of things to come. Since then the Corolla snatched up a few squirrels and bunnies, chomped on a couple pheasants and gave a muntjac a love tap. I've never hit anything before and would say I'm a sensible driver but for some reason death is drawn to it.
Its now back to its shiny ways after getting some proper work done and a good look over from a local garage to make sure nothing happened below the surface and will be onto a new home soon. Hopefully its bad voodoo goes with it as well.
Thought I'd share my sinister ownership experience and wonder if anyone else has a USP for a car they own(ed). It doesn't necessarily have to be as morbid...

Thanks but I think I'm over the trauma now.In 25 years of driving I've had 3 cars written off by insurers. Only one was my fault. I've only owned 3 green cars but lots of different colours. All 3 green cars were written off. Out of all the other coloured cars I've made one insurance claim for a small ding that was repaired easily (under £500 cost)
I will never buy another green car. Even though I really like the colour.

I saw a dead cat the other day, a few cars were slowing down and the first I knew of it was when it got bumped a bit as the car in front went over it. Made me quite sad actually, more bothered than I thought I'd be. Glad it wasn't me that hit it. I've seen numerous dead badgers etc over the last few weeks but the cat hit different.
I’ve hit quite a few critters over the years, everything from rabbits to birds to deer in cars and vans. At one point I hit 6 pigeons in one go with a silver BMW.
I’ve also hit birds and run over one cat with motorbikes.
A small bird exploding off your knuckles while you’re travelling at many mph really stings.
I’ve come close to hitting plenty of deer and the occasional sheep. At one point in Finland on the bike I was about two feet from hitting a reindeer at 50mph, which wouldn’t have been ideal really!
Living in NE Scotland does give more opportunity for unexpected wildlife interfaces than other parts of the UK, more so when your job means often travelling at unusual times.

I saw a cat that got squashed and slowly died. That hit real hard, made me feel incredibly sad and my wife started crying.. I felt so sorry for the person that run the cat over, the cat, and it's poor owners. What a horrible experience for all involved and to witness. I completely understand how it would have made you feel. RIP kitty.Xenoous said:

I've seen real-time hits on a fox and a cat - in both cases entirely avoidable. I'd suggest that 8/10 "it ran out in front of me" scenarios involve too much speed or a lack of attentiveness - plus nobody seems to slow and cover the brake when they see animals on the verge, presumably because getting where they're going 30s later is so terrible. Saw a hedgehog in the middle of road a few days ago and that boils my blood; we're talking about an animal that physically can't run out in front of anything, so the driver either has to be malicious or thick as faeces.
Not me but my brother had a 300ZX (Z32) about 15 years ago and it's probably one of the most subjected to not at fault insurance claims/accidents I've come across, it was always in the shop having bodywork done quite honestly.
My mum begged him to sell it in the end because she said it was cursed.

We have issues with dumb animals( and moose apparently)

In fairness , I don’t think I would try and argue with one…
