Incorrect Mileage Recorded at Breakdown

Hi guys,

I’ve got a 2019 Sprinter van. I have gone online to book a service and it showed the last recorded mileage as being 100,000. However the actual current mileage is 92397.

I have spoken to the dealer who said 100,000 was recorded by the Mercedes breakdown which I had called out last year. They recorded the mileage incorrectly. It would have been closer to 80k at the time.

I am now worried that when I take my vehicle in for service at 92k it will show on their system and on HPI as a Mileage discrepancy. This could cause me problems in the future when selling the vehicle, or even with my extended warranty.

The dealer said they’re unable to change the mileage as it wasn’t them who had inputted it.

Any advice on who I can contact to get this correct as my vehicle is now due a service.

Contact the people who inputted the incorrect mileage.

Hpi only gets an updated mileage from when a car is sold - bought - mot

service history doesnt come into it
