Small oil leak - recommend a bodge that'll work!

Bought a Renualt megane 3 a few months back (private), it's the 1.4tce nissan engine. It's since started to leak engine oil from the side cam chain cover, only a few drips but would like to sort it. The cover relies on sealant for a gasket, the only problem is that it appears the engine needs to come out for the cover to come off!

I've seen oil additives which seem to have mixed reviews, is there anything that has done for trick that you'd recommend? Will save me a big bill or a major headache!

I think there are two solutions that actually work in this situation:

1) Keep topping up the oil.
2) Replace the gasket.

Anything else is pretty much snake-oil.
